DeatschWerks redesigned the DW300 to offer greater flow with no significant increase in current draw. The new DW300 pump flows 26% more at its peak and 20% more on average. The low amperage draw minimizes pump temperatures, maximizes pump life and reduces stress on OE wiring.

The increases in flow were specifically engineered for high pressures (60-90psi), where forced induction applications need it the most. Conversely, fuel flow has been limited at low pressures (30-50psi) to minimize heat generation in return fuel systems. This dual zone approach results in a flatter flow curve, which maximizes both performance and reliability for supercharged or turbocharged applications.

1986-87 Turbo Buick V6 3.8L HP 255LPH Fuel Pump + Installation Kit

THIS PUMP WILL FIT EVERY MODEL, TYPE OR STYLE FOR EVERY VEHICLE LISTED AND CAN FLOW ANYWHERE FROM 0-115 PSI, WHICH IS DETERMINED BY YOUR FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR. THIS IS AN AFTERMARKET PERFORMANCE FUEL PUMP AND SOME SMALL MODIFICATIONS MAY BE NEEDED. IF YOU RECEIVE THE PUMP AND HAVE READ THE INCLUDED DIRECTIONS, BUT STILL HAVE QUESTIONS, PLEASE EMAIL US FOR INSTALL HELP. 

REMEMBER, HAVING TOO BIG OF A PUMP IS NOT A PROBLEM, BUT IN SOME APPLICATIONS WITH AN OEM STOCK REGULATOR YOU MAY NEED TO UPGRADE THE REGULATOR TO AVOID ISSUES WITH TOO MUCH FLOW FOR THE OEM COMPONENTS. RETURN STYLE FUEL SYSTEMS, SUCH AS ALL THE VEHICLES THESE PUMPS WORK WITH, HAVE ANY EXTRA FUEL RETURNED TO THE FUEL TANK THROUGH THE RETURN FUEL LINE. BECAUSE OF THIS, AS LARGE A PUMP AS THE STOCK LINES CAN SUPPORT IS FINE, EVEN WITH A STOCK ENGINE!

BOOSTED APPLICATIONS THAT SEE HIGHER FUEL PRESSURES CAN STILL MAKE 500 HP WITH THIS PUMP, BUT NOT WHEN OVER 90 PSI BECAUSE THE FUEL HEATS UP AND CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS. ALSO, A FUEL PUMP CAN'T PUMP WHEN IT DOESN'T GET ENOUGH VOLTAGE. IF YOU ARE RUNNING HIGH HORSEPOWER IN THE 450+ RANGE YOU SHOULD UPGRADE YOUR WIRING AND RELAY TO SUPPORT YOUR NEW HIGH FLOW FUEL PUMP PROPERLY OR YOUR FUEL PUMP MAY SUFFER LOW FLOW RATES DUE TO LOW VOLTAGE IF YOUR STOCK WIRING IS TOO THIN AND RELAY TOO WEAK.

Also known as a "hot wire", the fuel pump harness wiring upgrade kit improves voltage to the pump by running a new harness from the alternator back to the pump. The increase in voltage improves the output of the fuel pump.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

 

Dynamically flowed and grouped to within 1% tolerance using Racetronix custom injector flow bench when purchased in packs.
All tests run with n-Heptane @ 20oC (+/-1oC), 3.0 Bar (+/-0.01 Bar), 14VDC (+/-0.05VDC), saturated driver with RC cutoff.

Injector flow rates are based on testing with n-Heptane test solvent (0.6855 g/ml). U.S. EPA emission test gasoline 40CFR86.113 (0.735g/ml) flows in most common injector designs at about a 3 to 4% higher rate than n-Heptane. A ratio of 1.035:1 can be used when converting the flow specifications above.

This high-impedance injector will work with all factory ECM/PCM injector drivers.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Top feed disc injectors uses multiple holes around its circumference. The disc rests on a short chimney that surrounds a metering hole. As the disc is raised off the chimney by magnetic force, fuel flows through the holes in the disc, over the walls of the chimney, and out the metering hole to form a full, finely atomized cone.

Set of 6 flow matched 60lb injectors (Siemens, sometimes known as Mototron). These may look skinny but they fit perfectly in the Turbo Buicks and Syclones/Typhoons. Good for cars from stock down to 10.5's in the 1/4 on race gas, or down to around low 11's on E85 (maybe faster). Requires no ECM modifications (besides a matching chip). These are flow matched to within 1% of each other to prevent some cylinders from being leaner than others. Very good street manners for an injector this big, almost like stock.

Set of 6 flow matched 80lb injectors (Siemens). These may look skinny but they fit perfectly in the Turbo Buicks. Good for cars looking to go 9.80's to 11.0's in the 1/4 on race gas, or down to around 10.50's on E85 (maybe faster). Requires no ECM modifications (besides a matching chip). These are flow matched to within 1% of each other to prevent some cylinders from being leaner than others. Very good street manners for an injector this big, almost as good as the 60's. Be aware that a single intank fuel pump can only supply enough fuel for 60lb/hr injectors. So if you don't ever plan on changing to a double fuel pump setup, or external setup, then there's really no reason to use the 80's.

New SD2 Chip

 

New version 2! The SD2 chip is for more advanced tuners. YOU will be tuning it. You must have a Powerlogger installed and a MAP sensor connected to the Powerlogger (normally a 3-Bar MAP, but others can be used). It allows the MAF to be removed and allows closed loop wideband operation at all times (if a wideband is connected to the Powerlogger).  This chip uses speed density calculations to calculate airflow and fuel. It has many adjustments that allow you to fine tune. New version 2 works with the Powerlogger to allow access to VE and spark tables, and live tuning!
